I've raced onshore and offshore, mostly on keelboats, for almost all my life (70 years) starting in a hammock in my parent's Nordic Folkboat. I have sailed/raced on everything from Lasers to a maxi. I crewed on a SORC Overall Champion when I worked for Horizon Sails and with Brian Chapman. Before I raced Jersey Girl, I raced my J24 "Kick a Little..." in the Lake Ontario Single-Handed Series enjoying considerable success. I started racing "Jersey Girl" in 2011 including LOSHRS, Susan Hood Trophy Race and the LO300. We have been good to each other, both having been sprayed with champagne. This year will be my 58th Susan Hood and I hope to race in my 33rd LO 300. The camaraderie while participating in LOOR events is the best part. I have sailed with great friends as crew but the best has been when my son or daughter race with me. They are both terrific sailors. See you on the water!
